Assistant Pastor Ronald Thomas
Assistant Pastor Ronald Thomas is a man who loves the Lord and firmly believes in the
importance of family unity as the foundation of a strong church. He was spirit filled at
a young age and has maintained a life of faithfulness and dedication to the Lord for the
past 41 years. He has been married to Gloria Bryant Thomas for 37 years and they are
the parents of three adult children, Jason, Kim, and Carrie, (all of whom live outside of
Indianapolis), and the grandparents of four young children.
Minister Thomas has been an active member of Grace Church throughout the years.
He was appointed Superintendent of the Sunday School Department by the late Bishop
Morris E. Golder, and served in this capacity for 12 years. Prior to that time Ronald
taught adult Sunday School class for several years, and in the past couple of years has
returned to teaching one of the adult Sunday School classes. He is known for his humor
and ability to teach the Word of God in a manner that is easily understood by all who
hear him. He has been a member of the Grace Outreach Team to the Women’s prison and
yet serves in this capacity when his busy schedule allows him to participate.
In addition to serving as Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Bishop Larry Hunt, he
also serves as Secretary of the Official Board, an office which he has held for the past
2 years. Ronald is excited about what God is doing and will do for Grace Church as
everyone does their part in making Grace Church a place of love and unity that can be
felt by all who enter its doors. One of his favorite Scriptures from the Word is Joshua
24:15, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will
serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the
flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house,
we will serve the Lord.” |
